John and Cheryl
have travelled throughout Queensland conducting schools
at Dressage and Pony Club locations.
Upcoming
Schools in 2007 include Longreach to conduct a two (2)
day Clinic with riders from local surrounding areas (just
completed). Another clinic has been booked with the
Maryborough Dressage Group. John has just completed
a clinic at Darra Oxley Pony Club.
The Quarterly
School in April has been very quickly booked
out by John's regular students (Caboolture
Showgrounds Indoor Arena), This School will
be followed by one in July and again in October. The
December, 2007 School being held at
Burpengary Equestrian Riding Centre's Indoor Arena.
The following
information relates to what is offered in the clinics conducted
by Downes Equestrian Services —
John
Downes, EFA NCAS Level 1 General Coach, former EFA “C”
Level Dressage Judge, EFA Show Horse Judge
and Andalusion Show
Horse Judge, is conducting a 4
day Equitation Clinic at Caboolture
Indoor Arena on 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th April 2007.
John conducts a series of 4 very intensive group lessons
(maximum 6 riders in group — lesson duration 2 hours)
for riders of all levels whilst implementing a step by step
Scale of Training
to create harmony between horses and riders. The step by
step Scale of Training
will assist riders (from all equitation disciplines) to
understand common problems between horses and riders, and
enable riders to gain new skills or regain confidence under
saddle.
Lesson costs
are $220.00 per 4 lessons and monies will be required to
be paid prior to the School to ensure booking confirmation.
(Refunds for non-attendance will be discretional).
Facilities include indoor arena and stables (additional
fee) for attendees who may be traveling to attend seminar.
Shower and toilet facilities are located at the Showgrounds
for students intending to stay overnight/s. Fence-sitters
are welcome and a charge of $15.00 per day is applicable.
Videos will be taken on the first and and last day enabling
students to see progressions made throughout the 4 day School.
