offers full and part care agistment. The advantages are
as follows:
1. Downes
Equestrian Services keeps paddocks and stables
in excellent condition. Manure collection is done twice
daily to ensure paddocks are kept fresh and worm free. ALL
horses are wormed every 6 weeks by management to ensure
all-round worm control;
2. Downes Equestrian Services
ensures the health and wellbeing of all horses as a top
priority. Daily contact with every horse monitors health,
wellbeing and ongoing good behaviour;
3. Downes Equestrian Services
ensures that all horses are fed regularly and at the same
times each day. This makes for happy, contented horses and
subsequently owners.

Downes
Equestrian Services’
pricing is created per week and paid for four (4) weeks
in advance. The cost of feeding your horse or horses depends
on a number of factors that are centred around your horse
or horses’ requirements but mainly according to
the following criteria:

Feed
required to keep your horse or horses happy by monitoring
condition, health and overall wellbeing; |
| b) |
Breed,
physical condition, fitness of your horse or horses
and specific equestrian discipline; |
| c) |
Condition
of your horse or horses on arrival at Downes Equestrian
Services; |
| d) |
Amount
of work accorded to the specialist individual Downes
Equestrian Services’ training program in relation
to owner or owners’ goals while your horse or
horses are residing at Downes Equestrian Services‘
location. |
AN
EXAMPLE OF FEEDING COSTS —

A
‘hard’ feed consisting of Lucerne Chaff
– Oaten Chaff – Millrun – Barley
– Minerals may cost around $10 per day or $70
per week (price will be at the discretion of Downes
Equestrian Services) . |

A ‘hay
only’ diet may cost around $4 - $6 per day or
$24 per week (dependent on availability and price
of hay). |

Every
attempt will be made to find the best possible price
when purchasing feed. |
***All costs are subject to change at the discretion
of Downes Equestrian Services. Notification will
be forwarded to owners prior to cost changes being
implemented.

N.B. On arrival
at Downes Equestrian Services you are required to complete
an Application for Agistment and pay one (1) month’s
agistment fees in advance and an ‘initial’
drench fee.
